 I'm feeling grateful today! Life has been pretty hectic lately, but I'm so thankful for the people in my life and all the wonderful experiences I've had. It's so easy to take everything for granted sometimes, but moments like this make me truly appreciate how far I've come. Creating New Art From Home During Lockdown

It's a new normal for everyone right now. Many of us are staying at home during the COVID-19 lockdown, with limited activities and things to do. But that doesn't mean we can't be creative. For the avid artist, a perfect way to spend the lockdown is creating art from the comfort of your own home.

One way to go about this is by simply finding new materials to work with. Common household items like buttons, wrapping paper, felt, or fabrics are all fair game. You can use these materials to craft small works of art that are truly unique. Crafting these works of art also helps to keep the boredom at bay and gives us something positive to focus on.

Another idea for creating art is to look for inspiration in the everyday. Spend a few moments looking at the patterns on furniture, textiles, and natural elements outside. Photographs and film also provide great opportunities for making art, so look for interesting things to photograph and explore different lighting, colour palettes and shapes. 

As always, be sure to stay safe while creating new art during lockdown. Remember to practice social distancing, wear a face covering, and always follow the government guidelines. Take advantage of this time, stay positive and most importantly have fun. Use this opportunity to be creative and create some amazing works of art!
