The military vehicle was attacked near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jogwan region.
A massive search operation has been launched in the area following the incident.
Advertisement According to a source cited by the news agency KNO, "three to four terrorists opened fire with 15-20 rounds on Indian Army vehicles, including an ambulance, in the Keri-Battal area near the Shivassan temple in Jogwan" at approximately 7:25 a.m.

The Indian Armed force has cordoned off the area and started an inquiry activity to find the culprits.

Following the recent attacks in Kashmir at Ganderbal and Baramulla, high alert had already been issued for Jammu's border districts, which include Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Poonch, and Rajouri.
Following a meeting with district SSPs that was presided over by Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Anand Jain, the alert was issued.
